DAY 16

Hi All,
Another great day coming up the west coast.
We are so blessed with great weather again today, the sun is shining and it's about 60 degrees.

After pulling out of Newport our first stop was Hug Beach.

I have this whole beach to share with these two beautiful girls. Life is good.

The pictures of this beach say it all.

This seagull looks at these two and wonders if they have any clue as to where they are.

We are so blessed to be here and to have this weather. God is really shining on me.

We find shelter for the night in the cave inn.

Prilly and Sue wade out way too far, the tide is coming in fast. I call the coast guard.

They drop men in the water to rescue them.

But sometimes you just have to do it yourself.

Crossing the Columbia river going into Washinton we spot these ships coming at us.

When we started the trip, Prilly began reading a book to us call The Lightkeeper by Susan Wiggs.
It's a story about a lighthouse keeper in 1867 who lived at Cape Disappointment. As she finishes the book
we pull into Cape Disapointment State Park in WA.

Cape Disappointment Lighthouse

It's so cool to know the history surrounding this place.

Looking at it from the beach.

After reading the story it has special meaning to us.

Looking down the beach we spot the North Point Lighthouse.
As you can see, if you like lighthouses, this is a great coastline for it.

As the sun sets over the Pacific, we land in Ocean Shores, Washington and end another perfect day.

Tomorrow we head to Olympia National Park. See you then,

Ralph, Prilly & Sue
