DAY 10

Hi All,

It was a travel day, from Jackson, Wyoming to Boise, Idaho.
Today it was all about weather, and whether or not we were going to make it to Boise.

We started out in the rain which soon turned to snow.

Before long we were in a winter wonderland.

We cross into Idaho and we figure we are through the worst of it.

Then coming into Idaho Falls the accumulation started picking up, so we decided it couldn't get any worse.
We were heading south for pete's sake.

Of course, then it really started snowing. Just after I took this picture, we see a guy next to the road waving
his arms to slow down and that's when we realized that it wasn't fog ahead of us, it was smoke
We slowed down as fast as we could. The car behind us swerved around us to avoid us.
That's when the tanker truck came into view and we saw the front cab engulfed in flames.
The driver was out and safe. He had rear-ended a car ahead of him causing his cab to ignite.
We did not know if what he was carrying was flameable, so we did not stop to take pictures.

We turn west on 15 and begin to drive out of it, and before long the sun started to break through.

This must be Twin Falls.

As we landed in Boise, Idaho, the sun was shining.

We have reached the halfway point in our trip and are all running out of clothes, so we have to find a laundromat,
so we will look fresh in the upcoming days.
On to Bend, Oregon.

See you tomorrow !
