Today was cold and wet out here with rain and snow. The sun peeked through once in awhile.
We traveled over two hundred miles around Yellowstone park looking for wildlife
and as always we were blessed by some awesome sites.
Yellowstone Lower falls, a must picture.
What you can't see in this picture is the 20 mile per hour wind at their backs.
Here we catch this elk fording the river.
He sure looks a lot bigger once he gets in front of us.
Along Yellowstone River.
Now this is what you call an unmoveable object. When he is ready then you can go, not until.
We spot a coyote just off the road.
This time of year they have a beautiful coat.
Emerald Pool
We tried to get to Old Faithful but the pass to it was closed.
This is Steamboat Geyser
On one of our hikes we spot this little guy.
We spot another coyote.
The sun breaks through and a rainbow appears.
Then we spot our first grizzly bear about a half mile away. Good thing!
This herd of mule deer was right next to the road and were very photogentic.
This one has a nice rack for a little deer.
To end our day we are treated with these to young bucks playing rackit.
Right after I took this picture a big stag wandered over to break it up and started playing rackit
with one of the younger bucks. All at once they were not playing anymore he was showing him who was boss,
and after a chase the smaller buck retreated.
Tomorrow we head south to Grand Teton National Park. See you then.
