The one across the river said
" I got 10 cars backed up over here watching me. How are you doing over there ?"
I got 23 on this side and two fender benders.
Wait a minute, 3 more just stopped.
We head down Firehole Canyon and spot this osprey.
They're about the size of a large hawk. Here he is just taking off.
Over half of all the geothermals in the world are right here in Yellowstone.
This one geyser pumps over 4000 gallons of boiling water into the Firehole River a day.
On the way to Old Faithful we spot another coyote.
Looking up inside Old Faithful Inn. Built during the winter of 1903-04, the Old Faithful Inn was designed
by Robert C. Reamer, who wanted the asymmetry of the building to reflect the chaos of nature.
The lobby of the hotel features a 65-foot ceiling, a massive rhyolite fireplace, and railings made of
contorted lodgepole pine. Wings were added to the hotel in 1915 and 1927, and today there are 327 rooms
available to guests in this National Historic Landmark.
Yellowstone's biggest attraction is Old Faithful. Hundreds of people line up for each eruption.
Every hour or so it erupts, shooting a stream of boiling water, 2 -3 hundred feet into the air.
This little guy wanted to have lunch with us.
Next thing you know he has invited some of his friends.
Driving into Grand Teton the leaves are at their peak.
We stop at our favorite place to see if we can spot a moose.
This place never fails us. In just a short walk we spot this cow looking back at us.
It's starting to rain but the mountains are still breathtaking.
Ox Bow Bend
We hated to cover up the scenery but we wanted to be seen in this beautiful place.
Lake Jackson
In this picture Sue did not get the memo to move to the left.
Mystified Mountain
Another great day out here in God's country.
Now after this long day, are they holding me up, or am I holding them up ?
Tomorrow we go back into Grand Teton National Park.
See you tomorrow
