DAY 3

Hi all,
Today was kind of a down day trying to catch our breath.


After sleeping in and a big breakfast we headed to Alaskan Native Heritage Center.


After they danced for us Sue decided to show them how to dance.


We found out that Alaska was made up from
many tribes that all had separate languages, and different dialects within these

Our guide was very informative.


This is a tribal totom pole. The top is the past elders,
the middle is the present and the bottom is the future children.


A typical trible home.


They ate the whole thing. Nothing went to waste.


The lower jawbone of a bowheaded whale. The actual size of just his head is 3 times this size.

Tomorrow we ride the train to Denali and spend 2 days there, see you then!
