DAY 9

Hi all,
Today we are going on a lunch cruise on The Spirit of Ethan Allen. Ok, this is the boat we are going on
but with out all those people. You see the sun is not shinning and it is raining off and on, so not many
people want to go with us.

That's what our boat really looks like. Empty !

We board and Sue is psyched and ready to go.

As you can see not many people aboard. More food for us.

It's lucky if it is 50 out there with a stiff breeze. Not bad in here, this place is heated and glass enclosed.
They set us in the back of the boat which is not a bad deal if we go backwards the whole trip.

Now isn't that duckey.

Sue looks like she hasn't eaten in three weeks.

We had a great lunch, the food was first class. I head up on deck to see how cold it is. Did you
know that Lake Champlain is 124 miles long and 12 miles wide in some places. It is half in Vermont and
half in New York with the north end in Canada.

After an hour an a half we head back to Burlington to dock.

There are 2 ferrys that leave here to cross to the NY side.

After we dock we go get our car and head out to the Ben & Jerrys ice cream factory. What a disappointment !
They won't let you take any cameras in, and after you go through a 30 minuite spiel you do get a free
sample but it is so small you arn't even given a spoon. They should call it a taste. But you can go out and
stand in a long line and buy some at full price. Big waste of time. Sue was crying because I did not want to stand
in those long lines. I told her that we would drive back to Burlington and stop at a Ben & Jerrys and she
could buy all she wanted with no lines. So we did just that.

Tomorrow we head back to Horseheads NY..

See you on Day 10 Ralph, Prilly & Sue
