DAY 10

Hi all,
Today we have just over a 300 mile drive to get back to Sue's house in Horseheads.

We head out and see where we can take a ferry across the lake to save a half hour or so. After
going 5 miles down to the lake we find out the ferry is an hour away. We turn around and head back
around the lake.

The leaves are in full color now.

Seven hours later we pull into Sue's in Horseheads as the sun is setting.
I tell Les, Sue's other half if he can rent a brake we will help him bend up the metal to cover the
fascia of the house.

Day 11 Friday Oct 4, 2019

We find out we can't get the brake till tomorrow and it looks like rain all day anyway. So we decide to visit
some family and friends. We forgot this was Friday and most were working so we ended up driving around
and going to Pudgies Pizza and the Big Top for ice cream. These are our two favorite places. When we get to the
Big Top we find it is closed for the season.

Day 12 Saturday Oct 5, 2019

Today we wake up and the sun is shining and it's about 50 degrees. When I take my shower I find a tic on my leg.
After removing it they want me to go to the emergancy care to get it checked out for lyme disease. The doctor doesn't
like the look of it so she puts me on 14 days of penicillin. By this time Les was able to get the brake and my friend Fred Smith
has come up for an hour or two to help us run the fascia. With all the interruptions that day we were able to get
about half of it done. That night we did get to go out to dinner with our good friends Fred and Bev Smith

Day 13 Sunday Oct 6, 2019

Today we hope to finish the fasia on the house and then have plans to go see Ray, Sue's oldest son and wife Susan
along with the rest of the family for dinner.
By late afternoon we finish the house just before it starts to rain.

That makes the house look a whole lot better.

We head upto Ray's for dinner and to meet everyone.
This is Ray's oldest son Matt and his girl friend Beth

This is Abby, Rays youngest. Since the last time we saw her she has had a son, Axle, going on three and a set of twins boys.
Boy, does she really have her hands full.

This is her husband Nick and Axle.

Meet the twins Maverick and Miller.

This is Jake's dog Diesel , Jake is Ray's youngest son who is now serving in Afghanistan.

Tomorrow we drive to Syracuse NY where we fly out at 6am Tuesday.

See you next time..... Ralph, Prilly & Sue
