A visit our old Cabin in NC

Thursday Day 3

I

In order to get there we have to go back over the mountain again into Bryson City NC.

It's a long way up that mountain glad I didn't have to walk.

On our way we had to stop at this stream.

We roll into our old cabin about 10:30 that morning to see that they had painted the trim black. We think it looked a lot better Yellow.

They had cut all the trees down next to the stream.

The proch rockers and swing were still their.

Got to see our old neighbor Norm and some of his freinds.

We peeked in the windows to see how much it had changed over the last 13 years.

The barstools are about the only thing we recognize.

The living room has all modern furniture. Yuck!

We head back home and stop in Bryson City for lunch and to look around.

We head back over the mountain but before stoping to take a couple of pictures

We roll back into Gatlinburg about 4pm and decide to take a mile walk around Ogalbees farm

The trail is worn from many years of use.

We have been coming to Gatlinburg for over 30 years. We always stop at this rock for a picture. It's a tradition

All at once it starts raining so we have to move quick before we get sokaed.
We head back to the motel and then find a cute little place to have dinner. It was just across and had live music.

See you tomorrow !
