Today we goto Caves Cove, checkout fire damage,
head to Pigon Forge and move to the cabin.

Friday Day 4

Today we are moving to a cabin high on a hill, between Gatlinburg and Pigon Forge.
We can not check in tell 4pm so we will be heading out to Caves Cove for a nice ride in the park.

Before we check out we had to feed the ducks again.

...

Prilly has got to stop and see the horses.

Those look like turky to me.

If you have never been to the Smokey National Park, Caves Coveis a must see.
It will transport over a hundred years back in time and show you what pioneers had to endeared.
It's a 10 mile circle through the woods and feilds of the past. Make sure you go early if you want to see the wild life.

Log Farm House

Oh ! we spot our first bear eating berrys.

Then pass another farm.

Just when we come to the end of the loop this bear walks right in front of us.
What a treat to end the drive.

As we start back to civilivation we spot this young boy contemplateing weather to jump.

On the way back we head over mountain to check out some of the fire damage up close.

This Hotel over looking Gatlinburg was gutted.

If it wasn't concreat or metal it's gone.

After that long drive we head over to Pigon Forge and decide to eat early at the Apple Barn,
before heading up the hill to the cabin. Anyone going to Pigon Forge eating at the Apple Barn is a must at least once.

On the way back through Pigon Forge we spot some strange looking buildings.
Someone turned this guys world upside down.

That looks like KONG up there.

Leaving Pigon Forge we spot this rainbow. What a great way to end a day.

We find the road to the cabin and it gives you a whole new meaning to steep and curvey. Glad we have four wheel drive.
I think we should have brought more people to fill it.

Woo! a fire place

and a hot tub on the porch.

We get all moved in and watch a little TV and it is getting real dark and spokey out there.
I had to go out about 9pm to make sure the jeep was locked. Did not want any bears to drive away with it.
On the way back in I notice this yellow star in the sky, so my curiosity got the best of me,
so I grabed my camira to get a better look. With a 10 power zoom I could see it wasn't a star but what was it?

I cranked my camira upto a 50 power zoom and took another look.
It looked like a swirling mass of color.

Once I got it cleared up and into better focus it was min- boggling.
Is this a asteroid heading to earth that is going to take us all out.

Trying to hold the camira still was impossible while trying to take this movie of it.
I was able to get this small clip and then the carmra stoped . Out of batteries are you kidding !
The world could be comming to an end and I am stuct up on a hill with no batteries.

See the clip and you tell me what it was.

See you tomorrow !

I Hope...
