Day Nine
Hi All,
Ok I'm a little late on getting this on out but
there is a good reason. We were late getting out of Arches National Park where
we had to walk miles to get these photos. I know you all think we drive up and
take the picture..WRONG ! Sometimes we have to walk great distances to obtain
the right shot. This is very hard for this fat
old man and my beautiful assistant that has bad knees. Anyhow we then had to
drive to Green River, Utah to find a place to hole up for the night. We found a
Comfort Inn that only had 1 room left so we took it. We walked in and saw this in the
corner.
After walking many miles all day this looked pretty
inviting.
Should I work on the computer or soak in this with
my beautiful assistant that has bad knees.
Now you understand why there was no
choice.
Ok on with the show.
Willson's Arch
This is just before you get to Arches National
Park.
This is called the Looking Glass and that is little
old me standing up there.
Entering Archers National Park
I'll bet you will never guess what they call this
one.
Balancing Rock
The rock on top is over 55ft high and weighs
over 35,000 TONS
This one is called the North South Window and yep
that is my beautiful assistant that has bad knees.
Here she is again at Keyhole Rock
And here I am in Double Arch.
Delicate Arch about 2 miles away.
This is just a few arches in this park. If any of
you ever get a chance
to visit this park, I highly recommend this
place.
This must be the best time to go also. The weather
is great and no
crowds.
Take Care,
