DAY 16

Hi All,
Today we headed to Utah planning to visit Monument Valley.

On the way we run into a herd of sheep. The dog was having difficulty keeping
some of them from wandering into the road. Mind you, there was no human helping.

That looks like Utah !

On the way to Monument Valley we see Valley of the Gods.
It's a 17 mile loop and we decide to take it.

The scenery is beautiful even with us in it.

Sometimes, a man has to do, what a man has to do.

The jeep helps put into prospective the size of this thing.

The little things that struggle in the desert.

I thinks she likes my hat.

Just after this picture was taken, Sue looked like a tumble weed as
she slipped ,dropped and rolled into the road.
She jumped up and said I'm all right! Then she looked down at her knee.
We patched her up the best we could, skipped Monument Valley and headed straight
for Page, AZ about 3 hours away. After 2 hours in the emergency room and five
stitches later she came out high on lidacaine.

Just use your imagination.

Wispy clouds.

Driving out of Valley of the Gods.

Another balancing rock.

The side of this mountain looked like an indian blanket.

We see a little dirt devil.
The other day we saw one that had picked up a bunch of tumble weeds.
Prilly drove right into it and the tumble weeds went flying everywhere.

Coming into Page, AZ.

After going to the Dam Plaza, to get some Dam food, at the Dam Resturant,
we head across the Dam to Lake Powell.
As you can see the lidacaine is still working.

It's sad, every time we come here the lake is futher down.

Sue, leaning on Prilly.

The Lake Powell Dam.

Just below the dam these walls are over 2000 feet above the water.

Enjoying the view.

Waiting for the sunset.

When is this Dam sun going to set.

Gods reward, for the end of a long day.

With Sue's knee, we're going to take it easy tomorrow and stay here in Page.
See you tomorrow,

Ralph, Prilly & Sue
