Before we leave, Prilly snaps a picture of the sunrise.
Amanda says hey to her mom.
We pull out leaving Cairns behind us.
The first thing we notice is the miles and miles of sugar cane.
I start telling Jesse about this book called When God Winks at You and just as I am explaning
it to him when Jesse spots this young mom with 2 kids broke down with a flat tire off the road.
She was in tears because she could not get her jake to work. We changed the tire and got her back
on the road. She said that she was just praying for someone to stop and help her. Thank you Lord for
letting us be part of this God wink.
We see a lot of banana farms. They bag the bananas while they are still on the tree.
We stop at a pretty beach.
We see a lot of termite hills.
They are huge !
Then late in the day we spot our first heard of kangaroo.
These guys remind us of deer at home.
I jump out to try to get a better picture. They are way off the road.
Jesse gets tired of driving so Prilly gives it a go.
About 8PM we land in a Comfort Inn. After checking in we find it was the worst one we have ever
stayed at, But we make the most of it and order pizza and chicken and eat in our room.
Tomorrow we head to Hamiton Island by boat.
