Day 18

Hi all,
. Woke up this morning and whould you belive it was raining.

Frist day of bad weather we had since we started.

Was going to stop at Hover Dam but with the rain decided to pass it up.

We passed through Wickenburg Az. and got held up for almost an hour with flash flooding. The water was flowing over the road in several places.

We now know what a flash flood looks like. We found out when we got to Phoenix that they close the road just after we went through.

Well in the last 3 weeks we drove just over 3,000 miles we cover 4 states 9 national parks saw two of the 7 natural wonders of the world and went to hights of over 11,000ft and depths of -190ft. We have seen all kinds of rock formations, beautiful mountains and painted desarts. One thing we notice out here was how fast the scenery can change. I hope you all can find time to take a similar trip out here. Oct must be a good month because the weather has been great. It's kind of ironic that the only place that we had reservations and paid the most for we liked the least.
Our favorite National Park, Arches with Rainbow Bridge close behind.
Our bigest suprise, The room in Green River.
Most expensive gas, $2.15 = Yosemite
Least expensive gas, $1.69 = Green River

It's been fun sharing our trip with you all hearing your coments along the way. I think it has helped us not get home sick.
If all goes well will be back on Monday Night looking foward to seeing you all.

Thanks again Bruce & Betty Ann for putting us up and putting up with us.

Nice way to come home.

This concludes this trip.
