Day Four

Hi from out west!

The only coment was from Joel and the answer is yes
Joel. On with the trip. Left Sedona this AM first stop was
Oak creek cayon just out side Sedona.

Then went to Sunset Crater just above Flagstaff.
This is where the most reason volcanic eruption
took place in Az. about 900 years ago.

 Lava Flow down the mountan.

The ash is very deep and the flow goes for miles.

In the background you can see snow on Humphreys Peak at 12,633ft

Yet you turn 180 degress and you can see the painted desert in the distance.

Then onto the Wupatki National Monument. This is where their is all kinds of ruins left behind by the
Hopi Indians around 1100 ad.

This pueblo was over 100 rooms in size.

This was there community room where meetings were held.

This was a ballcourt where they played some type of ballgame.
There have been many of these found in the southwest but this was the first
masonry court.

And this is one big hole that all should see at least once in there life.

You got to see the real thing to appreciate it and it's size.
Arived in Tusayan AZ. about 3pm and got settled into our Quailty Inn there.
Will keep in touch. Is all well back there? Give Muffin a hug for us.
