DAY 15

Hi All,

We are blessed with another sunny day.

We found out this is a Yucca plant, also known as the Lord's Candle.
They blossom every 20 - 30 years and then dies.

This rock could kill two birds with one stone.

Water overflows into the river.

Prilly gets a good shot of a quail.

We spot this cute little fox but he was very elusive.

One big tree !

Sue and I leaning up against a sequoia tree.

Three Amigos

This tree fell over 30 years ago and was over 2000 years old.

It's hard to get the size of these things unless you have something to compare them to.

The bears must be close. Someone did a no no and left food in there car.

They don't need keys. A ranger said they have seen them tear off a car door
to get to the food.

I see they are not far away.

They look so innocent !

We decide to climb Moro Rock at over 8000 feet.

Just 400 steps to the top.

I don't think Sue is going to go for this one.

We are looking down at the road we came up.

The view is awsome !

One step to Heaven.

Oh deer !

You feel awfully small in this forest.

Sue's new house.

We found the Three Amigo's tree.

Three trees growing out of one base bound together forever.

You are looking at the largest tree on our planet.
The General Sherman Tree

It's not the tallest at 275 feet or the oldest at over 2200 years old or even the widest.

But it's volume is over 52,500 cubic feet with a circumference of 103 feet
and an estimated weight of over 1385 tons. This is one big tree !

As we pass through Kings Canyon National Park the snow gets deeper.

And on the way out we spot this little guy to top off another great day in God's country.

Tomorrow Yosemite National Park. See you then,

Ralph, Prilly & Sue
