DAY 5

Hi all,

Today our first stop is the Titan Missile Museum.
This is where one of only two Titan Missile silos still remain.
The place looks deserted.

We peek through a crack and look down at this thing. It's big ! Real Big !

I ask the girls where that bilco unit goes. I open the doors and start down.
Ralph, I don't think we should be going down here.

After walking down 4 stories we come to this big door.
This thing is about a foot thick. A little further in, there is another one.

Wow ! I think we found the control center. Where is everybody?

.......

Prilly, I don't think you should sit there. What do you think all these buttons do?

Prilly, don't turn that key ! NO !

The lights start flashing, a horn is now going off and we are in deep do do.

The outdoor antenna is deployed from out of the ground.

Sue is in panic mode, screaming, what should we do !

The engines are rumbling and everything is shaking.

I, with my quick wit, open the door, and run down a 100 - foot hallway,
to where this missile is about to leave us.

After doning a fireproof suit, I rush in and unplug the darn thing.
So the world can now rest in peace again.

OK, that might not be exactly how it happened,
but it makes a good story and a lot less boring.

Now on to Tombstone.
Sue says this is an army cactus, because it has so many arms.

After catching some grub and a beer at the Silver Dollar Saloon,
we head down the street.

I think we should keep the Jeep.

Looks like trouble coming.

It's Sudsie Sue, and her side kick Slippery Pearl.

We then went into the Bird Cage Saloon.
one of the only original buildings standing.

This is the original grand piano used here.

This is the hearse that took all those bodies to boot hill.
Would you believe that it was made in Rochester NY.

One of the bordello rooms.

The high stakes table in the basement.

Beer and wine cellar.

Boot Hill

That's all for today. On to Bisbee tomorrow. See you then !
