DAY 12

Today we were in Ketchikan Alaska.

Pulling into Ketchikan.

The buses were lined up waiting for us to take us on our excursions.

Prilly had to stop and pet the horses.

Today we take a float plane back into the fjords and then a boat ride back out.

I can't believe they're going to let me fly the plane. OK, copilot, that's close enough. Found out this aircraft is a Beaver, "built around 1952"...!!!!

Looking back at my passengers.

Here's our pilot trying to figure out how to put the headset on.

Hang on, here we go!

We just clear the mountain.

Looking down at the fjords.

There is our boat below ready to pick us up.

We round the corner to set it down.

The landing was as smooth as glass.

We pull up to the dock and transfer to the boat.

We pass many beautiful waterfalls.

Then we go by some cute harbor seals.

This guy looks like he has been eating on our cruise ship.

Then Sue jumped up to take a picture, spilling clam chowder
all over herself. I've always been telling her to clam up.

We spot an eagle nest in the trees.

Incoming !

Boy it's a little windy up here, dear.

Coming into the harbor.

Looks like they left the door open for us.

Tomorrow we hit the open sea and head to Vancouver, BC. See you then.
